Huntington Ingalls Industries

About Us

As part of a family of companies with over 125-years of experience designing, building, and overhauling the most complex products built in the U.S., we have a rich history, diverse experience, and a record of success that speaks for itself. In sum, Avondale Engineering & Construction is committed to Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost.

Why Modular Construction…Why Avondale

SAFETY – Modular construction reduces accidents in the field.

QUALITY – Quality is improved as components are built in a shop controlled environment with approved processes and experienced personnel.

SCHEDULE – Modular construction reduces the project time in the field. Module construction can begin while the permitting process is underway. Modules are delivered, inspected, and tested, which reduces plant commissioning time. Scheduling reduces delays due to weather.

COST – Labor cost and projections more predictable. Manpower requirements in the field are reduced. Reduced number of pieces and parts that can get lost or damaged. Reduced cost for site preparation and damage for staging areas, large workforces, and field production areas.
